Rev. Blane Young
Blane has served on staff at AU Chi Alpha for several years and became the Director in the Fall of 2014. This New Mexico native is a graduate of the University of Alabama but has fallen in love with the big city. He and his wife (Hannah) moved to DC to complete the DC Chi Alpha CMIT Program in the Fall of 2011. They are parents to a wonderful kiddo: Jeremiah Joel Young.
You'll find him around DC in search of good coffee by day and hanging out with his cat, Whiskers, at night.
Rev. Natalie Hill
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Natalie came to Washington, DC in 2009 and studied anthropology and creative writing at American University. During her time as a student in Chi Alpha, she felt a call to missions and completed the DC Chi Alpha CMIT program after graduation in 2013. As a worship leader, mentor, and teacher, she is passionate about reaching college students, specifically in urban hubs in the northeast, with the transforming love of Christ and fostering depth in relationship with Jesus, in worship, and in community.
In her downtime, Natalie enjoys writing and exploring music, reading classic fiction (Steinbeck specifically), and eating anything pickled.
Originally from Long Island, Jolene graduated from American University in 2018 where she studied Film and Audio Technology. She discovered Chi Alpha her first day on campus, and it quickly became the most significant part of her time in college. After graduating, she felt led to “give-a-year” with DC Chi Alpha and has since committed to continue serving on staff. She is a strong believer in discipleship, racial justice, and finding where faith and creativity collide.
When she's not getting roasted by the rest of the staff for drinking hot chocolate instead of coffee, she’s either recording music or behind a camera. A proud New Yorker, she unashamedly cheers for the NY Mets and is, admittedly, a pizza and bagel snob.
