Weekly Worship

A typical Weekly Worship kicks off with a few minutes of just hanging out and talking with one another as people arrive. Then the worship band starts to play and we spend 20-30 minutes singing and praying in worship to God.

Don't worry about not knowing the songs - there are always new people joining us and the lyrics are always projected on a screen!

After singing, we usually go over some announcements, the regular attenders give an offering, and then someone gets up to speak for about 30 minutes. This is usually one of the Chi Alpha (XA) staff pastors, but sometimes its someone from another Chi Alpha or a strategical local church partner. Then, students can text in questions for the speaker to respond to about the message or biblical text.

After the speaker finishes, we usually spend a brief time in prayer. The service ends around 10pm each week.

Here’s a map to Embassy Church — our campus partners at AU have asked that all students attending Weekly Worship fill out this brief waiver. This is for everyone, regardless of how you get to Weekly Worship. Tip: If you set dates for the entire semester, you only need to fill it out once per semester versus every week.
